
My role at the John Lewis Partnership Hotels required me to regularly update their social media platforms and websites, planning photoshoots regularly and editing content in order to have an up to date online presence. One of the main areas for content was food and drink; the menus in each hotel would change frequently as well as offering seasonal specials meaning regular photoshoots were required in order to keep the website up to date with the newest photos, and to promote offers on their social pages.
This meant occasionally last minute changes would take place on the social calendar in order to coincide with the kitchens newest creation, prioritising posting food or beverage content over what was originally scheduled.
Personally, I enjoy the aesthetics of food photography as it combines creativity and cuisine, visually expressing food as more than a sustenance.
